Manufacturer of entrance door panels
Firmengebäude

For more than 20 years now, the medium-sized company based in the region to the east of Münster has been supplying the market with a wide choice of models ranging from classic to modern. The choice is as diverse as the people for whom the range was created. The “expert for special models” can provide more or less any door model you wish.

Entrance door panels made of OBUKRESIN® (fibre glass compound), OBUKALUMINIUM® and, in some cases, the new OBUKELEMENTEC® are available in numerous RAL colours and wood decors. Some 30,000 entrance door panels leave the state of the art OBUK factories each year.

2005

OBUK’s 25th anniversary

The door to success is wide open, just in time for the company’s birthday: OBUK presents its new presentation and communication centre. The lower floor in the newly built office complex is flooded with light, offering a warm welcome to friends, specialist retailers, partners and prospective customers. A showcase for experiencing the innovations and new products “live”. The new showroom also aims to provide stimulation and ideas for your own professional exhibition.

2002

Innovation

OBUK presented a market sensation at Fensterbau 2002, the trade fair for window design in Nuremberg: entrance door panels made of OBUKRESIN® that cover the leaves. A new system not only elegantly conceals the door leaves and sealing edges; it also guarantees the highest levels of solid and compact design. Previously only created using aluminium, this technology now uses plastic to set completely new standards in design.

OBUK Haustürfüllungen GmbH becomes OBUK Haustürfüllungen GmbH & Co. KG.

2000

OBUK’s 20th anniversary

A new look: The new OBUK slogan spotlights the company’s philosophy: “Doors for life”.
A new generation of entrance door panels emerges after two years of development, various tests and numerous material analyses. The NEW EDITIONS are one of the most successful premieres in 2000 – according to the trade press. The unique design and incorporation of top quality materials have already made the NEW EDITIONS design classics.

1997

New production facilities
The production facilities and all machinery were completely destroyed by fire on 7 May.
Thanks to the magnificent efforts of the staff, they were nevertheless able to exhibit the entrance door panels made by hand in rented premises at Fensterbau 97, the window design trade fair in Frankfurt. June marked the acquisition of the present-day premises of the company at Am Landhagen, just six weeks after the fire. By year end, revenues had matched the splendid figures of the previous year.

1995

OBUK holds a 10% share of the market
As such, the “specialist for the hidden inside” ranks among the top 3 in its sector of industry.

1994

Revenues exceed the 20 million mark
The headcount soars from 43 to 80! Year-end marked our move to the new premises offering a floor area of 5,000 sqm on Hauptstrasse in Oelde.
Aluminium entrance door panels are included in the programme for the first time.

1990

Above average
The economy is booming! And is joined by a historical event: The inner-German border opens. As a result of both factors, OBUK’s order books are fuller than ever.
43 staff are employed. More than 10,000 panels leave the production facilities.

1986

New production hall
A new floor is added to the office building in Ostarpstrasse.
Completion of a new production hall. The site now measures 2,500 sqm in total.

1984

Wood decor panels
Wood decor panels are included in the programme for the first time, following more than a year’s preparatory work. The panels in question are made of Renolit films, concealed sandwich boards with coloured ornamental frames that demonstrate true craftsmanship. A real innovation in the industry!

1982

Against the trend
OBUK presents the first glazed OBUK models. Classics that still feature in the range to this day. OBUK continues to flourish in spite of the economic slump – thanks to new and independent door panel designs.

1980

Foundation of the company
Günther Keutmeier founds the company -  OBUK Haustürfüllungen GmbH - in Oelde. Three members of staff help him through the start-up phase. All three of them still work for the company to this day.
